What is Plant-Based Nutrition?

Plant-based nutrition consists of eating raw or cooked plant foods such as fruits, legumes, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, flowers while reducing the consumption of processed foods, and animal products.

Plant-based diets are becoming very popular because of the health benefits associated with them, from athletes to celebrities and people like you and me, we all benefit from the nutritional power of plant foods.

First, for you; how many times did you eat meat and you spend hours feeling heavy or blotted, or perhaps burping? That was your body telling you that what you ate was not the best for you. Plant foods respect our physiological characteristics in all senses and allow us to be aligned as a whole - body, mind/emotional and spiritual.

It is also well-known that a big part of our environmental problems results from the wrong use of the land to grow crops to feed animals. By opting for a plant-based diet, you are sending a message of love, not only to yourself, to your body, but and also to the planet, our home.

Now, do you know where your food comes from? How are the animals, treated and killed? Think about how you feel when you eat certain foods, how the way those foods are prepared affects the way you consume and digest them. Now, imagine, if an animal lived in suffering and died in great pain, how much of that are you offering yourself when you eat its meat?

What are the main benefits?

  •  more energy to exercise, work, start a new hobby, learn a skill, have fun with family and friends

  • better skin and healthier hair, a lot of us have intolerances and allergies to animal derivate products, such as milk, when you stop eating what makes you feel bad, your body thanks you

  • helps with digestive issues, such as constipation, stabilizes blood pressure and so on

  • weigh management, read this article about childhood obesity prevention through plant foods by Joan Sabaté and Michelle Wien for the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

  • no more pain or inflammation.

What can I do for you?

Plant-based nutrition is not only about diet, what you eat is exceptionally important, but your lifestyle, in general, should be thought through. Do you sleep well? Do you exercise? Do you take time to relax? All that influences how you feel. So, are you ready to improve your wellbeing, health and lifestyle?

Remember, there are many benefits for a plant-based diet, but nothing will convince you more than seeing and experiencing those results yourself.
